If you are thinking of starting a building project or renovation this is the best place to start. Jen will help you design and draft your plan, a necessary part of the construction process. Having a good plan is a very important part of the project. It allows you to best communicate with your builder and other trades people on the project. Jen's plans are very detailed making it easier for your builder to properly construct your home, cottage or addition. Detailed and accurate plans allow you to obtain more accurate pricing from the beginning leaving you fewer surprise costs throughout your project. Jen includes the construction details needed to obtain building permits and makes sure your design meets or exceeds the Ontario Building Code. The better your plan, the smoother and faster your construction project will go.
Jen focuses on functional design and proper planning. Determining how to best use your square footage is one of her specialties. The layout of your space is very important to the function and beauty of your home. What does BCIN mean?
Please check our this blog post for more information.
Will you help us with our interior design finishes and furniture plans even if we are not constructing anything new?
Yes, please contact me with details about your project.
Can you help us with our kitchen renovation?
Yes, I have a lot of experiences designing kitchens, as well as built-in cabinetry such as TV units, mud room lockers, built-in furniture, walk in closet systems and more.
Will you take care of building and overseeing the entire project for us?
No, but I can point you in the right direction by recommending excellent general contractors and builders in the area that would be a good fit for your project.
How long will it take?
This is very much project dependent and I would be happy to give you an idea based on your project. Typically most clients end up spending a few months planning an average sized home. This gives the client time to make decisions and think about the ideas without rushing. I have however turned around a completed drawing package of a home in one week.
